MISSING KENYATTA UNIVERSITY STUDENT FOUND DEAD AT BOYFRIEND'S HOUSE IN KAHAWA

Kenyatta University student Victoria Muthoni Theuri, who had been missing since the previous weekend, has been discovered dead at her boyfriend's home in Kahawa Wendani, Kiambu County. On Christmas Day, she was last spotted. She had informed her parents, who reside in Kahawa Sukari, Kiambu county, that day that she had been to see her sister. Her parents phoned her sister to see whether she would be staying at her house or returning home when she didn't come home that evening.

Her sister allegedly stated to the police that she had not seen her. Her phone was off when her parents tried to call her.

Victoria's parents reported the incident to the Kahawa Sukari Police Station when she failed to get home on Boxing Day with her phone remained off.

Since then, it has come to light that she frequently spent time at Alvo House at her boyfriend's apartment before returning home from school.

The inhabitants of Alvo House began smelling something awful coming from one of the closed flats as her family was searching for her.

"The boy who lives there was not present, and we thought it strange that a foul stench was emanating from the house. A neighbor said, "It smelled like something had died inside the sealed house.

The keeper reported the incident right away to Kahawa Sukari Police Station.

On Thursday, police entered the home with the assistance of welders and shattered the door. The sitting room is where Victoria's body was discovered, unharmed.

According to a police official familiar with the investigations, "She must have been dead for at least three days."

Immediately after leaving for his rural home, Victoria's boyfriend was located and taken into custody. He was transported for interrogation to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) office in the Ruiru subcounty.

The boyfriend admitted to leaving Victoria at his house on Christmas Day in order to go to his parents' place.

The university student's cause of death is currently being investigated by police.
