A woman who died with a businessman at the Titanic Dam in Juja, Kiambu County, has finally been identified.Frida Warau Kamyu, 22, a recent university graduate, was the woman in the car with Tilas Maina Gikonyo, 39, who was identified two days later.On Thursday, Warau’s family identified a woman who had been in the morgue for over a week.
“Rest easy,” Ms Mary Wamuyu, the deceased’s sister, posted on her social media accounts as she mourned her sister’s death.
Margaret Kiiru, the wife of a Kiambu businessman whose car crashed into a dam in Juja on Wednesday, pleaded for help finding the family of an estranged woman whose body has not yet been recovered from the morgue.Ms Kiiru said that no one has shown up at the public morgue to claim the body even as the burial of her husband Tirus Maina, 39 has been set for this Friday at his ancestral home in Mukurei-ini Nyeri County.
“We have not been able to identify the family of the young lady who drowned together with my husband in Juja on Tuesday because when she was retrieved from the dam, she had no identification documents. I have no problem getting to know who her family is or who can help us get to know them so that they can also have closure,’’ Ms Kiiru maintained.
