Prof. George Magoha, a former cabinet secretary for education, has undoubtedly passed away. His family has reaffirmed this. Magoha passed away on January 24, 2023, at about 5:30 PM at the Nairobi Hospital. He had fainted at his house in Nairobi at approximately 5 o'clock, and had been taken urgently to the clinic.
The doctors' attempts to revive him were fruitless.
Magoha had been ill for some time, according to a member of former President Uhuru Kenyatta's cabinet, and would periodically be released from work to receive medical attention.
Magoha held the position of CS for Education until October 27, 2022, when Ezekiel Machogu took over under President William Ruto.
He is actively engaged with research on male erectile dysfunction, circumcision, HIV/AIDS, testicular, prostate, and penile malignancies.
The professor of surgery is wed to Dr. Barbara O. Magoha; the couple has a son named Dr. Michael Magoha.
Magoha stated his interests as reading about world politics, running, walking, listening to classical music, reading history, gardening, and planting trees on his University of Nairobi profile.
